12 days of marriage! shower

"The 12 days of marriage"

With the holidays coming up, My Hepworth fam threw me the "12 days of marriage" shower.

 clever, i tell ya. 

"On the first day of marriage my true love gave to me…" It was to die for. and I love my fam to pieces!!

Also SAD I didn't get any pictures from the Carver shower, but wow they were so sweet and I seriously just had to say how grateful I am for all the support!!

I have to take a minute to document the showers I was given, cause dang they were great. and the people in my life are even greater.

i have the best friends! Back at the beginning of November my dearest friend Amanda with the help of my other bridesmaids threw me the cuuuuutest friend bridal shower! all things fall and falling in love, serious swoon! thanks a million babe :)

first look

So blessed. 

I have been completely overwhelmed by the love and support that Jordan and I have received upon being married. 9 days later, and we are just starting to get settled into our basement apt, study for finals week, try to grocery shop(LOL) and just emerge in this life of together-ness! and as i've been organizing and putting everything away I just keep thinking, "holy cow pretty much everything i own right now is stuff people gave me!" that is a humbling feeling, and sure makes you feel loved. 

i feel like I had sooooo much love coming my way throughout planning my wedding, so many bridal showers, borrowing decorations, people donating their time and talents, it was unreal! I'm so grateful. especially for my parents. holy cow. my mom spent endless hours planning, painting, crafting, making, calling, reserving, calming me, buying.  I cannot even begin to tell you the wonders that woman accomplished. my wedding was a complete dream, it was everything I ever wished for, and it all came true solely because of my mamma. she is full of so much love and selflessness, that lady is. can i please be her when I grow up?? I truly don't know how she does it! her and my dad were my biggest supporters and gave me the most magical evening of my life! -THANK YOU-

Mr. and I were given lots of advice, and what we seemed to hear the most was to stay close to God, pray together, read scriptures together, and to remember that the other is a child of God.

wow. how cool, the people we love most all wanting us to find true happiness in marriage through these things, so for our 'first look' into marriage and trying this whole thing out, thats what we'll try to do, and i couldn't be more happy to start our lives with each other

with faith & love, and lots of hugs and kisses.

THIS IS THE WEEK!!!! IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE!!

how did it all of a sudden become the week I get married? Mrs. Carver by saturday?! what. haha jordan and I laugh because it feels like YESTERDAY we were in junior high school together, passing each other in the halls, waiting to text the other person, hanging out playing guitar hero and watching american idol. who could have known then, that this is where we would be now. 

except lets be honest, who wouldn't have guessed. jord was meant to be mine, and I his. 

so much planning and thinking and energy and all going into one day that happens to be Saturday. We were extremely lucky to win a free bridal shoot from the lovely Cassandra Farley! Yay! (The exact words every groom is dying to hear) ;) so with an extra shoot, we decided to make it a little different and take full advantage of free pictures! So I wore my moms wedding dress that she wore in December, 23 years ago and stuck jordan in a semi-vintage get up, and wow it was a lot of fun. I have the best fiancé by the way, what guy willingly comes along to 4 photo shoots??! he's the best and i'm so happy because these pics wouldn't be the same without his handsome face.

i love my mom. she is an angel, she is practically perfect and i felt so privileged to be able to wear her special beautiful wedding dress.
