the fact that i'll be in italy in less than ONE month and see jordan in 2 months is even better than a bruges waffle.

happy birthday sister friend

happy birthday sister jenni smoot!!

because this girl turns 20 today and… lesbihonest. ;)
Jenni is one of those girls who is everyones friend. i mean it. everyone and their dog.
(she'll probably have like 23423 bridesmaids)

but it's because of her sweet, sincere, and outgoing personality that attracts SO many people to her.
i'm lucky enough to have wound up going over to her house one sunny day in 8th grade and its been ongoing adventures and laughs ever since.

so happy twentieth!! and I know that you are blessing those californian lives with your charismatic sweetness and contagious enthusiasm for life and the gospel. :)

and i guess i miss you lots so i made a collage of a billion of our adventures so i could just miss you more!!

"Girl, I love you! & don't get too Flustered today cause it should hella be sick!"
-as jenn dog would say

PS… target is a lifesaver for care packages, among other things.

be mine? v-day package

Yay for Target's dollar section…

whipped up a simple valentine package full of sweet words and well, sweets.

< sweets for my sweetie >

(even though he won't eat any of them, he just doesn't haha)
But whats Valentines Day without a treat?

...i told him he could donate to the "investigator children fund" and all that mattered is he knew I was thinking of him and that I got more pictures of those kiddos eating their treats!

oh and, 3 months from today until italy.

happy loving!
xoxo

ps… miracle I squished all those treats into that skinny little box.

a little excerpt

"i've learned that people dont care about how much you know or what you say, but how you made them feel. Just remember that ok? with everyone you come in contact with. make them feel special. make them feel important. We are each so special to our heavenly father and he loves us all the same so make everyone feel just as special as you would want to feel. thats all people really want. is to feel important and that they matter. Thats why i love being a missionary so much is cuz i can be that person for others and its so awesome."

lucky number seven

I'll see you in seven months.

HOLY COW!!!

Today, i'm grateful for my missionary :) And i'm grateful he is willing to write me and let me be apart of his amazing experience he is having. Not to mention he still manages to treat me like a princess and make me feel so special and loved from so far away. I'm grateful for the chance i've had to let my testimony grow over these past 17 months and for the example that jord has been to me!

Oh, and i'm grateful that he only has 7 months left.

i'm totally one of those missionary girlfriend nerds that i promised myself i would never be... dang it.

snail mail makes me happy

I did it you guys. My application (including a gosh dang pricey applicaton Fee) is
SUBMITTED.
Now I just wait 4-6 weeks to see if I get accepted into the program.
I'm going to STUDY ABROAD people. and I am SOOO excited about it!! :) Regardless of the fact that i'm leaving my family, the preschool, and getting a little bit behind in my program, I feel realllllly good about my decision and I am thrilled for the adventure that England will have to offer me this coming Spring!

Also, just in case I haven't made it clear before. Snail mail makes me so HAPPY. If there is one thing i'll miss about these years, it will be the thrill of looking forward to letters in the mail. It's so fun. Even if I go a couple weeks without getting one, the next one that I do get is THAT much better. (picture the sweetest, unexpected text you get that makes your entire week! times TEN MILLION... um butterflies don't deny it!) I think letter writing is so romantic. Guys, I got a package! Oh blissful moment!! I'm not allowed to open it until Tuesday. Which was a very pleasant reminder that i'm TWENTY in less than a week. WHAT. Where did my teen years go?! I'm still a kid, I promise. Plus it helps that EVERY where I go everyone thinks i'm 15 haha. I seriously am going to start actually wearing make-up places so people will maybe take me seriously.

"How has your summer been? Are you SO excited for school to start?"
-ortho assistants (in a high, "talk to a little kid" voice, mind you)

"You should get that dress for one of your dances this year!!"
-Sales Ladies

"How old is your granddaughter? 15?"
-My grandma's friends

"So, what. Are you like 15?"
-My co-workers big, black guy friend who visited her at work.

"You're doing a study abroad? What grade are you in?"

NO. People. I'm 20 (almost) haha but whatever. I can still work the kids-menue right?? I don't know what it is. (it's gotta be the chubby cheeks) haha I honestly think it's funny how often this has happened to me lately.
Anyway, YAYYY for snail mail!!!! :))

oh, and other good news, FALL! it's right around the corner because I went to my brothers little league game this morning (he scored a TD and they won), AND I had to wear a jacket. AHH!!! I love fall
sweaters
boots
coco
blankets
leaves
scarfs
brisk chill
beanies
s'mores
You get the shpill cause i know you've seen a THOUSAND of those lists if you follow any social media sites haha. So other than the fact that football reminds me of & makes me miss jordan craazzzy bad, i'm just in a real happy mood right now, and off to an overnighter in St. George to support my cutest cousin ever at his farewell.

Check him out:

HUMP DAY

I could not be more thrilled to FINALLY say that today
 it has been
ONE YEAR
since I said see ya later to this babe!

This pic was taken on our last day together, one year ago!

I am so grateful for this past year and for the experience I have had so far of writing a missionary! Before he left I honestly didn't know how I was going to function, and that sounds so stupid but this guy means so much to me, and he is who I definitely spent the majority of my time with. I am so happy to say that although at times being away from and missing him with all my heart has been the hardest thing I have ever done, it is also extremely rewarding and has so many benefits. I have had time all to myself to more fully figure out who I am and what I want out of life. I have already seen a difference in myself as i've grown up this past year and have developed a new sense of independence. Through writing letters we have gotten to know each other in a way that I don't think would be possible without this experience, and I am loving it! It's so exciting to watch each other grow from a distance. I wouldn't trade these two years for anything. I'm so grateful my bestie is on a mission and already I have witnessed SO many blessings that have come from it, and have felt sincere comfort from my loving Heavenly Father. Although I definitely say that it's due time, it's kind of crazy to think that this little journey is half way over. I'm super excited to see what this next year will bring as I continue to grow, change, and find out more about myself!

HAPPY ONE YEAR.
12 MONTHS.
HUMP DAY.
HALF WAY.

(I promised myself I would never be one of those girls who blogged annoyingly about "her missionary" HA! Ya right. Sorry not sorry.)
